Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
At Kings of Indigo, the three Rs remain central to how we approach circularity. They reflect the foundations of circular economy thinking and guide how we design, source, produce, and extend the life of our garments.
Reduce
... means lowering the environmental impact of our products from the start: choosing lower-impact materials, simplifying constructions, reducing synthetic inputs, and designing durable garments that require fewer resources over time.
Reuse
... means keeping products in circulation for as long as possible. This includes repair, care, resale, passing garments on, and designing pieces that can be worn across seasons, years, and lives.
Recycle
... comes into play when a garment can no longer be used in its original form. By recovering valuable fibres and materials, recycling helps divert textiles from landfill or incineration and reduces the need for virgin resources.
TRANSPARENCY
Fashion's supply chains are long, global, and rarely visible, and that lack of visibility is where social and environmental risks hide. Transparency is our starting point: what we can't see, we can't measure, own, or improve. As KOI fish swim in clear waters, we aim to operate with the same openness.

Innovation doesn't have to mean futuristic technology. It means rethinking established practices, designing smarter, sourcing differently, producing more responsibly.
Regenerative cotton
A shift from reducing harm to restoring systems. Cover cropping, crop rotation, intercropping, compost and manure instead of synthetic fertilisers. Improves soil structure, water retention, carbon sequestration, biodiversity. Healthier soils produce more consistent fibre length and strength.

A great part of our collection is made with recycled materials, which means we don’t need to use new ones and can lower our environmental footprint. You can help by not throw away your valuable textiles with your household waste, but bring it to a textile collection bin.

Beyond producing garments with the lowest possible impact, we look forward to the next stages in their life (and we estimulate you to do the same). We take responsibility for the part that comes after the garment is sold and design with circularity mind. More and more we use mono-materials when possible, so our garments can be recycled and used again.
