How to choose the right size? Unlike rigid jeans that stretch out over time, stretch denim bounces back to its original shape, preventing sagging. Although over time, stretch denim may lose elasticity, causing it to become looser - especially if not washed or cared for properly. Check out our care guide for conscious clothing care instructions.
KOI stretch levels:
- Low Stretch (1–2% elastane) – Feels more like traditional denim with slight flexibility.
- Medium Stretch (2–5% elastane) – Offers a balance of comfort and support.

Rigid Denim
Rigid denim jeans are made from raw, unwashed denim that starts out stiff but gradually softens and molds to your body over time. They develop unique fade patterns based on your movements and wear, making each pair truly personal.
How to choose the right size? First of all, it depends on your desired fit. Do you like a tight fit? → buy true to size. It could be a bit too tight initially, but rigid denim stretches ~0.5-1 inch ( ~1-2.5cm) with wear. Do you prefer a more relaxed feel? Size up 1 size.
Waist & thigh fit:
- The waistband should be snug but not painful, it will stretch over time.
- If you have bigger thighs, consider a relaxed or tapered fit instead of sizing up too much in the waist.
