INTERN - PIONEER PRODUCT (m/f/d)
Amsterdam (IJburg) | full time | on site

Kings of Indigo is an emerging sustainable fashion brand with big ambition.
We punch well above our weight -creatively, commercially, and culturally.
We never follow the current. We always swim upstream.

On the product side, there are only a handful of people. Which means:
if you join, you’re not filling a slot - you’re shaping what we build.

This internship is for someone who wants real responsibility, early trust, and a seat close to how products are created and decisions are made.

What you’ll work on
You’ll be part of the core product engine of KOI.

You will:
– Work directly on product development and collection building
– Support fabric, trim and material decisions
– Coordinate samples and track product progress
– Help prepare fittings, quality checks and product feedback
– Get exposure to costing, margins and production trade-offs
– Contribute ideas — and help turn them into finished garments

At KOI, interns don’t “support from the side”.
They help build the product.

Why this is different
Most product internships are narrow and repetitive.
Here, you see the whole picture.

You’ll work closely with founders and a young, sharp team - many straight out of university themselves.
Communication is direct. Hierarchy is flat. Initiative is rewarded fast.

When you do great work, you see it in the collection.

This role is for you if:
– You want to build, not observe
– You care about materials, craft and quality
– You’re curious how sustainable fashion works end to end
– You’re structured, reliable, and speak up when you see something
– You believe great products come from disciplined execution

The essentials
– Full time, on site at our Head Office in IJburg (Amsterdam)
– Minimum duration: 6 months
– Compensation: 750 € per month + travel contribution
– Possibility to continue as a working student

Why Kings of Indigo
KOI is built by mavericks - people who take responsibility, protect what they build, and care deeply about craft, customers and impact.

If you’re here, you’re not just learning product development.
You’re learning how to build better garments — responsibly and commercially.
