King or Queen of Product Development (40 hrs/week)

Take the lead. Drive change. Deliver excellence. Shape the future of sustainable fashion with Kings Of Indigo.

About Us
At Kings Of Indigo, we’ve never settled for average. Since day one, we’ve been out to redefine how denim is made—with purpose, innovation, and zero compromise. As pioneers of sustainable fashion, we design high-quality collections that leave the smallest footprint and the biggest impact.

We’re now looking for a King or Queen of Product Development—someone who thrives on responsibility, pursues excellence without pause, and sees every obstacle as fuel for progress. If you're fiercely independent, quality obsessed, and ready to push boundaries to change the world of fashion, this is your calling.

About the job
In this role, you’ll take full ownership of our development process—steering it from the very first prototype to the moment the SMS collection arrives. You’ll be the heartbeat between design, sourcing, and production, ensuring every sample reflects our values: sustainable premium, and delivered on time.

You won’t be micromanaged. We’re looking for someone who can own their area, drive results, and lead with vision and confidence—even under pressure. Because building a better fashion industry takes more than creativity. It takes grit.

What you’ll do

  • Drive the development of our collection from first idea to SMS handover.
  • Manage and inspire suppliers across Turkey, Tunisia, and Portugal.
  • Source sustainable fabrics and production partners that align with our values.
  • Oversee pattern making, gradation, fittings, and tech pack refinements.
  • Align tightly with design to ensure creative and sustainable excellence.
  • Own pricing and margin reporting—always with a commercial eye.
  • Manage SMS buys and timelines to ensure on-time delivery, every time.
  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Sales, and Marketing on sample logistics and photoshoot readiness.
  • Enforce rigorous quality standards and follow up on any issues proactively.

Who we’re looking for
You're not just looking for a job. You're out to make a mark. You’re autonomous, fiercely driven, and energized by challenge. You hold yourself to the highest standards—and you don’t back down when things get tough.

  • Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product development or a similar role.
  • Deep belief in sustainability and its role in reshaping our industry.
  • Relentless work ethic with a self-starter mindset—no hand-holding needed.
  • Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Eager to travel and collaborate across cultures.
  • Clear understanding of denim and the global fashion supply chain.
  • Proficient in Excel, order systems, Outlook, and Asana.
  • Pré: Knowledge of pattern making and spec grading.

Why you’ll love it here
You’ll join a purpose-driven brand where you can have real impact, working with a tight-knit team of forward-thinkers who live and breathe sustainable fashion.

  • Competitive salary package.
  • 25 vacation days (based on 40-hour work week).
  • 8% holiday allowance.
  • Significant employee discount on our iconic collection.
  • A vibrant, diverse team and a beautiful office on Ijburg.
  • Room to grow, take ownership, and shape your own role.

Sound like you? Take the throne.
If you’re ready to lead the charge in product development and help rewrite the future of fashion, we want to hear from you. Please send your CV and motivation letter to Lorna Mc Phater, Queen of Product (lorna@kingsofindigo.com).
